Consultant Profiles

John R. Sedlak, co-owner, lead consultant:

John has over forty years of successful leadership and executive management experience in a wide range of business sectors, including basic metals, metal casting, metal fabrication, electronics, chemicals, plastic molding, gas & diesel engines and appliances.  During these years, he worked in the commercial, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.  For the past fifteen years, he was VP, COO of Smithers Quality Assessments, a highly respected and profitable third-party registrar.  His management experience includes operations, engineering, quality, sales and marketing for Fortune 500 as well as smaller, privately held organizations.  John also held board positions for the IAAR (Independent Association of Accredited Registrars) and IACBA (International Automotive Certification Bodies Association).  He holds a B.S. from The University of Akron and several professional credentials, including IRCA lead auditor, ASQ-CQE and lead auditor for environmental standards.  For several years, John was also co-owner of a private consulting practice, Quality Development Associates, which focused on developing and providing unique business solutions to a wide range of clientele.  He has conducted numerous training courses and written a significant number of papers on a wide range of topics dealing with problem prevention and adding value. In 2011, John was recognized as a Fellow by the American Society for Quality. Overall, John has the trust and respect of peers, clients and work associates.

Salva C. Sedlak, co-owner, lead consultant:

Salva has over thirty years of experience in a variety of supervisory and management roles. Her particular field of expertise is focused on the human side of organizations, but also includes marketing, organizational development, coaching, counseling and dealing with a wide-range of personnel related situations.  Salva holds a B. A. from Bowling Green University and M.S.S.A from Case Western Reserve University.  She is an LISW.  During her career, Salva has provided counseling, coaching and guidance to men and women in a wide range of organizational positions, including presidents and CEOs, representing an equally wide range of business sectors.
